Legal team of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sharmila Faruqui sent notice to actress and TV host Nadia Khan for paying Rs 5 crore on account of defamation
On 29 January 2022, legal notice was sent
by Sharmila Faruqui referring controversial video of her mother made by Nadia
Khan.
Sharmila Faruqui intimated through Instagram
Stories that Nadia Khan has been sent notice to withdraw her sentence in 15
days and pay Rs 5 crore as compensation along with apology.
Earlier, Sharmila Faruqui had lodged complaint
against Nadia Khan with Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
It is highlighted that Nadia Khan made video
with Aneesa Faruqui mother of Sharmila Faruqui during wedding actress Saboor Aly which had gone viral on social media.
In the Viral video, Nadia Khan is asking about
the make-up, clothes and jewelry from elderly mother of Sharmila Faruqui but
the style of the host was ridiculous though she was also criticized.
After the defamation notice by Sharmila Faruqui,
Nadia Khan also announced to send legal notice to Sharmila Faruqui.
In an Instagram post, she said that she is
also sending legal notice to Sharmila Faruqui for Rs 50 crore damages for
insulting a woman and defaming her.
It may be noted that after filing the
case at FIA cybercrime Branch by Sharmila Faruqui, Nadia Khan uploaded a 30
minute long video on her YouTube channel speaking on the issue and using
inappropriate language against her.
Husband of Nadia Khan also appeared in
the video, who also spoke on the issue and testified that he did not see any inappropriate
in the video made by his wife with Aneesa Faruqui mother of Sharmila Faruqui.
Nadia Khan reacted strongly to Sharmila Faruqui's
action and raised the question that she does not understand why the member of
Sindh Assembly does not care about the honor of her mother and she also has
this question in her mind that after all Sharmila Why doesn't her mother look
beautiful?
Nadia Khan said that the video made by
her with Aneesa Faruqui should be watched carefully and where and what
inappropriate words she used.
The TV host and actress said that she
respected Sharmila Faruqui's mother and talked to her with great politeness and
love but did not know why the member of Sindh Assembly felt bad about this.
He asked why Sharmila Faruqui feels that
her mother is not beautiful or she should not be respected.
