Asifa Bhutto got injured due hit of drone camera during Long march

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Asifa Bhutto Zardari was injured due to hit of a drone camera during an anti-government march at Khanewal, while video was broadcasted on TV channels.

It can be seen in the video that Asifa Bhutto Zardari is standing on the container with her brother PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and at the moment the drone camera approaches her she and collided with her.

Asifa Bhutto tried to avoid the drone camera but she got injured.

As per news reports, drone camera was being used to cover PPP's march and the incident took place, while Asifa Bhutto immediately went inside the container.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's security personnel detained the drone operator after the incident, but according to news reports, Bilawal said it is not clear if the incident took place accidently or it was a premeditated incident.

Punjab government spokesman Hassan Khawar has said through Twitter that the government responded immediately after the incident.

Rescue 1122 team and Dr. Babar (General Surgeon posted at DHQ Hospital) deputed on duty immediately rushed to the container who was stationed near the container," he said.

He said that Asifa Bhutto Zardari received a minor cut and injury  on her hand.

He said that the drone reportedly belonged to a media house.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing the participants of the march said that Asifa Bhutto got injured in the incident, while medical staff advised her for shifting to hospital but Asifa refused.

He said that Asifa insisted that she would recover from the bandage only.

Later, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari sister of Asifa also posted her sister’s picture  on Twitter account, in which it can be seen that there is a bandage on the right side of her forehead.

After the incident, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz prayed for Asifa's well-being on Twitter and wrote “I hope you are not injured, you and all the participants are safe.".

It may is pertinent to mention that PPP's march against PTI government started from Karachi on 27 February 2022 which is on its way to Islamabad and has now reached Khanewal in Punjab.

According to the schedule, the participants of the march will enter Islamabad on 8 March 2022 through 34 different cities and towns.
