Biography of Moulana Assad Ullah Khuhro, Moulana Jhal Dab

 

Moulana Assad Ullah Khuhro who is famous for his unique style of Islamic Speech

Moulana Assad Ullah Khuhro belongs to Bhit Shah, District Hyderabad. He is famous and well known religious Aalim of Sindh and delivers speeches in funny style

Moulana Assad Ullah Khuhro actually belongs to a Village located in Kacha area, near Hala, but it come under floods of Indus River later and his parents shifted to other village of Kacha area in Sobho Dero Area.  He acquired basic qualification from Khuhra Town.

Moulana Asad Ullah Khuhro belongs to poor family and his father was a farmer. During an interview, he had intimated that they were so poor that one day they had not even flour (atta) to survive on eid night. His father had gone to landlord of the area to take atta, but landlord returned back him without atta.

Moulana Asad Ullah Khuhro and his family had not even house, since they used to live in the shelter of cattle

He used to listen speeches of Khalid Mehmood Soomro father of Rashid Mehmood Soomro since childhood. After listening his speeches, he inspired from him and desired to become aalim like Khalid Mehmood Soomro and started speech during schooling.

After acquiring basic qualification, he remained till only his native mosque and performed as Paish Imam of Mosque in Village Darya Khan Talpur. During performing his duties as Paish Imam of mosque, he continued to study about Islam.

While living in village katca area, he used to listen poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai in schooling age from a school teacher. After listening the poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, he requested the teacher to write Bhitai’s poetry on some papers. Later, he acquired books of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and started reading his poetry.  Subsequently, memorized poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and he inspired from his vision so much that he shifted from his native town to Bhit Shah.

Moulana Asad Ulla Khuhro usually recites his poetry in his every speech and delivers vision of Shah Abul Latif Bhitai to illiterate people of Suhni Sindh.

He usually speaks on life of Hazrat Muhammad SAW, their family members’ life and Waqa Karbala and other Islamic stories. He has ever given references of different hadith and Quran verses during his speeches.

Moulana Asad Ullah Khuhro delivers religious speech in a unique funny style and he usually speaks jokes during his speech. His many funny jokes are famous within Sindh.

His one unique funny dialogue is Jhal dab “جھل دٻ“ has become his identity. Since, usually people and his opponent call him Moulana Jhal Dab. He said during an interview that he had used this dialogue for the first time during 2010.

Since, Moulana Asad Khuhro has faced ever controversy due to odd and loose discussions. However, he delivers and useful knowledge about religion and gives Islamic teachings.
