Goats Cattle, The Best Domesticating Cattle

 

The goat is member of animal family Bovidae the subfamily “Caprinae”, which relates it closely to sheep. Over 300 different breeds of goats are found in the world. This animal is one of the oldest domesticated animals. Archaeological evidences prove that domestication of goats occurred in Iran about 10,000 years ago. Grazing of goats has been an ancient profession of all over the world including South Asia. Domestication of goats is also considered as profession of Messengers of Allah. Many messengers including Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) had also grazed goats during Childhood age. Grazing of goats is also read in our Sindhi Folk Story “Umar and Marvi” in which it is written that Marvi was kidnapped while grazing goats. Moreover, Sindhi Poet and Sufi has also written poetry mentioning poetry grazing. While this profession is still given importance in many regions like Egypt. Goats are being ever used for milk, meat, skins, fur and across world. Life of goats varies upto 15-18 years. In some regions, life of goats has been reported upto 24 years.

Goat is very useful for human life and is a good income source for poor families. This cattle has advantage to get newer milk, then to get meat. In most of counties, charities and Welfare NGOs provide goats to poor families. Because this cattle is cheaper and easier than other cattle. In most of countries.

Goats weight and body specification varies according to different areas. Since, different sizes and weights of goats are being found in different regions varies from 140 kgs to 20 to 27 kgs. Most of goats species have two horn on their head. Yet in some regions including South Asia and Pakistan goats without horns are also found. Gulabi goat species in Pakistan specially in Sindh have are liked in the country. This species have large ears, white colour and large body. Inner side of ears of this species contain pink colour and have upto 24 inches ears. Moreover, they have pink lips. Since, this specie is being liked very much within as well as across the world. This species have the highest rates in country.

Goats are supposed to be ready to eat anything, including cardboard boxes and tin cans. While goats do not actually eat uneatable items. They browse animals, not grazers like cattle and sheep and will chew on and taste just about anything remotely.

Goats’ cattle are naturally curious. They are also responsive and well known for their ability to scramble and balance in risky places. This makes these the only thoughtful to regularly climb long trees and roots. Due to their alertness and curiosity, they are infamous due to escaping from their houses challenging fences and cages. They do these activities due to either intentionally or simply they are used to climb. 

Some studies have revealed goats as intelligent like dogs. Since, some people select goats as pet because of their capability. Goat form close connection with their custodians and they follow their owners

When handled as a group, goats tend to display less herding behavior than sheep. When grazing undisturbed, they tend to spread across the field or range, rather than feed side by side as do sheep. When nursing young, goats will leave their kids separated (lying out) rather than clumped, as do sheep. They will generally turn and face an intruder and bucks are more likely to charge or butt at humans than are rams.
