Renowned actress, writer and filmmaker Sakina Samo's directorial debut 'Intizaar' has finally been announced for release across Pakistan.
Sakina Samo confirmed on her Instagram
posts that her film 'Intizaar' will release in Pakistan on 19 August 2022.
Announcing the release of 'Intizaar', she
wrote emotionally that her dream will finally come true soon and people will be
able to watch her film on cinema screens.
She also wrote that she already wanted to
release 'Intizaar' in theaters but it could not be possible due to Corona. Now
that things are back to normal, fans will be able to watch her film on the big
screen.
It is pertinent to mention that Sakina
Samoo’s film trailers 'Intizaar' were announced in 2020, but it was not
possible due to Corona.
Sakina Samo's directorial film has been
screened at festivals including the Harlem Film Festival in the US, and some of
the actors in its cast have won awards.
The story of film 'Waiting' revolves
around the limitations of a family in which elderly parents wait for their children
and live in fear of death.
The film shows the importance of
relationships and the new generation forgetting about adults and especially
parents and waiting parents for their children.
The cast of the film includes Samina
Ahmed, Kaif Ghaznavi, Adnan Jafar, Raza Ali Abid and Khalid Ahmed. While its
story is written by author B Gill who wrote works like "Dar Se Jaite Hai
Silla".
Apart from the above film, Sakina Samoo has
also announced to make another film in which Shehryar Manwar, Humaima Malik and
Asad Siddiqui and other actors will be seen in action.
Sakina Samu has not revealed the name of
her second film but said that its story is inspired by the true events of rural
Sindh, which will also depict the romance and traditions of the Sindhi society.

second film as a producer will release.

Actress Sakina Samo is legend actress of
Pakistan belonging to Sindh, who born on 1 Mar 1966 in Sehwan.
Sakina Samoo started her showbiz career
from 1982 through Radio Pakistan. She later entered PTV from her first drama
Deewarien released during 1983, from which she earned fame and later she performed
in famous Urdu drama “Jungle’ aired from Pakistan Television Karachi. Later,
she continuously showed her essence in
many dramas in Sindhi, Urdu and Balochi languages.
Sakina Samoo has also worked with Noor Muhammad Lashari, Anwar Solangi, Shafi Muhammad Shah, Roshan Atta and many other famous actors of
Sindh. Her famous dramas are Deewarien, Jungle, Choti Si Duniya, Sindhi Drama
Marvi released for the first time in Sindhi language in 1990.
Sakina samoo was
awarded for the first time during 1985 for best actress of Drama Serial “Jungle”.
Afterwards, she is still receiving awards for her utmost acting, production and
direction in showbiz in industry. She was also awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz during
2011. Sakina Samo was also awarded Pride of Performance by President of
Pakistan during 2020.
She has twice married. She has one
daughter and one son from first marriage, while his second husband’s name is
Saqib Rizvi. The actress is presently settled in Karachi.
