Govt Starts Screening of Passengers to Detect Monkeypox

Ministry of Health has decided to screen all travelers coming from abroad to prevent the spread of monkeypox in the country

After the spread of monkey pox was declared a global emergency by the World Health Organization, the Ministry of Health has started taking necessary measures to prevent monkey pox in the country.

Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel says that the implementation of the recommendations of the International Health Security Regulation and effective measures are being ensured.

He said that a decision has been taken to screen passengers coming from Africa in particular.

The Federal Minister said that all the entrances of the country are being strictly monitored on scientific basis and the guidelines of the World Health Organization are also being followed.

Abdul Qadir Patel said that concrete measures are being taken to increase the efficiency of health workers and all effective measures are being ensured in terms of public awareness.

In this regard, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health says that the Minister of Health has also issued instructions to the NCOC to ensure the monitoring of monkeypox along with the corona virus.

The spokesman has also said that no case of monkeypox has been reported in the country so far, so the federal government and the provinces should take effective measures to prevent this outbreak.
