Showbiz industry comedian Yasir Hussain reacted condemned to the suspension of screening of film 'Javed Iqbal: Untold Story of a Serial Killer'

Yasir Hussain has written in Instagram post that he did not understand the logic for banning the film. Either truth shown in movie 'Javed Iqbal' is not been digested or anyone has been missed to invite in the premier show”

Yasir Hussain further wrote on post, "whether only TV dramas and cricket matches will be screened on cinemas of the country, or filmmakers can also get a chance?"

Yasir Hussain further wrote that where a dollar cannot be controlled in the country how art can complaint in this country.

It is pertinent to mention that Punjab Information & Culture Department had stopped releasing Ayesha Umar and Yasir Hussain’s film 'Javed Iqbal: Untold Story of a Serial Killer'.

The film was scheduled to release in Pakistani Cinemas on 28 January 2022. Film “Javed Iqbal” was cleared by all censor boards but its released has been stopped due to various complaints on story of the film.

It is learnt that the film will be analyzed again later the full board will decide regarding releasing of the film.

 Film “Javed Iqbal: the untold story of a serial killer” has been directed by director Abu Aliha. The film was premiered at Karachi despite the increasing in corona cases.

Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Keller was premiered at the Newplex Cinema at the Defense Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi.

Premiere of the film was attended by the film's cast and director Abu Aliha, various showbiz personalities’ media persons, as well as other important political and social figures.

The red carpet was also decorated during the colorful premiere, where the actors showed their essence while the film was later shown to the audience on the big screen.

Yasir Hussain and Ayesha Umar's horror thriller 'Javed Iqbal: Untold Story of a Serial Killer' was initially announced to be screened during early December 2021, but last month it was stopped due to releasing of Hollywood movies. Yasir Hussain and the film team announced during last week to release the film on 28 Jan 2022.

Who was Javed Iqbal

Javed Iqbal Mughal born on 8 October 1956 was Pakistani serial killer who was convicted of killing 100 children and sexually harassing them.

His father was businessman while Javed Iqbal was 6th of his siblings. He completed intermediate from Government Islamia College, Railway Road, Lahore. He started doing the steel business during 1978. Javed Iqbal used to live with some boys in a separate house located in Shad Bagh, Lahore.

On 30 December 1999, Javed Iqbal had written a letter to police and newspaper editor, Khawar Naeem Hashmi, confessing killing of 100 children between the ages of 6 to 16.

Javed Iqbal had also confessed that he strangled the children and dismembered their bodies’ parts. He targeted the children who had left their homes angrily orphans living on road sides.

Javed further admitted that he used to put bodies of killed children in acid (hydrochloric acid) and then he would pour it into the river.

Police and reporters visited his home where they found pictures of several victims as well walls were stained with blood. The team also found chains and according to Javed Iqbal these chains were for strangulation. The culprit had written names on all the things which were in the introduction of these things. Police also found a bag containing acid and physical remains of victims. The culprit had written on this bag "I did not dispose of it so that the authorities could find evidences."

Following Javed Iqbal's revelations, Lahore police launched the largest raids in Pakistani history, which resulted into arrest of four boys who were living with Javed Iqbal.  One accused of them allegedly died while escaping from the jail.

A month earlier of his arrest, Javed Iqbal had gone to Jang News Office. As per Javed Iqbal, he had gone Jang News office due to danger to his life from police.

Diary of Javed Iqbal contained details of all killed children, but Javed Iqbal pleaded not guilty in the court.

As per Javed Iqbal, he fabricated the whole story to bring to light the plight of children who leave their home angrily.

It is learnt that about hundred people submitted evidence against Javed Iqbal after which the court judged had given decision "You will be strangled in front of the parents of the children whom you have murdered. Your body will be disjointed and then it will be acidified."

On 8 October 2001, Javed Iqbal and his accomplice Sajid Ahmed committed suicide in Kot Lakhpat Jail. They left no will behind. He did not agree to make a final statement.
