Benazir Bhutto was prohibited to attend Rawalpindi Rally but she did not agree, Asif Zardari
Former President Asif Ali Zardari has
revealed that Benazir Bhutto was barred from attending the Rawalpindi rally but
he did not agree.
Addressing the 68th birth anniversary of
Benazir Bhutto at Bilawal House Lahore, Asif Ali Zardari spoke openly for the first
time on the death of Pakistan's first female Prime Minister.
He said that death is real, However, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was barred from attending the rally in Rawalpindi but she
did not agree.
The former president said that the
intelligence officer had told her on the night of the rally that her life was
in danger, to which Benazir Bhutto asked the officer why he did not arrest her.
He said that Benazir Bhutto was unique;
she expressed her thoughts in the world. Since, now a days intellectuals from all over the
world are writing books on her .
Asif Ali Zardari further said that
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto used to say that this sun of democracy had arisen by him would
never set.
He said that Allah Almighty had given so
much courage to Benazir Bhutto that she ousted Pervez Musharraf with the help
of workers.
The former president also said that he
remained sometimes in jail and sometimes in the hospital therefore he has been
meeting after many years with the workers. He said that this meeting with the
workers is not less than a gift for him.
He said that human being is very weak
since he requested workers to prays for him so that he can fight till death. He
further said that he can face every because of party workers.

He said that Bilawal Bhutto is moving
forward with his experience and PPP chairman will take along future generations
with him.
The former president also cut Benazir Bhutto's 68th birthday cake on the occasion.
