Pakistan Day (March 23) Pakistan Day
Parade has been rescheduled.
ISPR has issued a statement regarding
Pakistan Day Parade, in which it has been announced to reschedule the March 23
parade.
According to ISPR, Pakistan Day parade
will not be held on March 23 due to bad weather and rains in Islamabad and
surrounding areas as well as whole country.
According to ISPR, the Pakistan Day
parade which was scheduled on March 23 will now be held on March 25 as per the
schedule.
It is pertinent to mention that during
the Tehreek-e-Pakistan, 23 March 1940 was the day when Maulvi Fazlullah, under
the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, presented a resolution for
an independent Pakistan. On this occasion, we as a nation celebrate March 23
every year as Pakistan Day.
The Pakistan Armed Forces Resolution
demonstrates the parade and defense capabilities of Pakistan. This parade is
called Pakistan Day Parade.
The colorful Pakistan Day celebrations
showcase the skills of the land, air and naval forces, as well as Pakistan's
defense equipment.
It may be recalled that last year the
Pakistan Day parade was canceled due to corona virus while in 2019 the parade
was held with national spirit.
Pakistan Day Parade 2019 was attended by
troops from Pakistan as well as friendly countries China, Saudi Arabia, Sri
Lanka, Bahrain, Brunei and Azerbaijan. While Chinese and Turkish air forces
also participated. President Dr. Arif Alvi attended the parade as the Chief
Guest. While, Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad also attended the
parade as the Guest of Honor. General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chiefs of Pakistan Air
Force and Pakistan Navy and other officials were also present.
