Decision to partially resume train operations from 10 May 2020



Lahore: After the final approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan, 24 up and down trains will be run in all the four provinces.
According to reports, the government has decided to partially resume train operations from May 10 and in this regard, the Ministry of Railways has issued a letter to Pakistan Railways for resumption of train operations, instructing the railway authorities to resume train operations. Complete related arrangements.
Final approval will be sought from the Prime Minister before the resumption of train operations on 8 May 20, and after the final approval of the Prime Minister, 24 up and down trains will be run. Initially, train operations in four provinces will be partially resumed, possibly. Reservation offices will remain closed even after the lockdown and tickets will be available to passengers only through online booking upon resumption of train operations.
Online booking of special train operations will start from May 9, booking will be stopped after 60% of train seats are booked, implementation of social distance policy will be ensured from 60% booking, and booking of special trains 24 hours from departure will be closed first
