Sindh Government approves grant of Rs 4 Crore for treatment of Umar Sharif
Sindh government has issued notification regarding
provision of Rs 4 crore on emergency
basis for treatment of legendary comedian, host and Omar Sharif from United
States.
Umar Sharif has been ill for the last one
month and is under treatment at Aga Khan Hospital Karachi. Sindh government had
announced few days ago to for treatment of Umar Sharif and now provincial
government has also issued notification for grant of funds to the actor.
According to the notification issued by
Sindh Finance Department, an amount of Rs 4 crore has been released for Umar
Sharif on the suggestions of Sindh Health Department and Chief Minister's
Secretariat. As per notification the said amount has been released for his
treatment and shifting of Umar Sharif from Pakistan to USA. The notification shows
that that fund have been released from various relief programs for treatment of
the actor.
Earlier, Umar Sharif's family has also
intimated through post on Umar Sharif’s official Facebook page that Sindh Government
has too arranged for an air ambulance. As per Zarin Ghazal, wife of Umar
Sharif, Sindh Government has arranged air ambulance for his shifting from
Pakistan to America. However, they are waiting for visa and arrangement
formalities for visa have been completed and likely to be issued within a day.
Zarin Ghazal said that Umar Sharif will
be shifted to United States for treatment on 15 or 16 September 2021. Whereas
actress Reema Khan's husband Dr. Tariq Shahab has made arrangements for
treatment of the actor.
On the other Reema Khan has thanked his
Husband Dr Tariq Shahab for provision of assistance regarding treatment of Umar
Sharif.
Doctor Tariq Shahab is well-known
cardiologist and American citizen. He married Actress Reema Khan during 2011.
Reema Khan thanked her husband for his role
in treatment of Umar Sharif and praised him through a post on Facebook and
Instagram.
Reema Khan shared her photo with Umar
Sharif on Instagram and expressed her views for playing role in treatment of
famous actor and comedian.
Reema Khan also wrote about Umar Sharif
and said that he always worked hard during his life to deliver joys to public. She
further said that today she is upset to listen about illness of Umar Sharif and
prayed for his recovery on early basis.
The actress expressed pride and appreciation
that her husband is fully cooperating with family of Umar Sharif and making
arrangements for treatment of the actor. The actress wrote that Doctor Tariq Shahab
has supported the high risk procedure for treatment of the actor.
Reema Khan wrote in the post that she
would pray to God to heal the hands of Dr Tariq Shahab and Umar Sharif may recover
and again deliver joys to people.
It is pertinent to mention that Umar Sharif is suffering
from cardiac issues and is admitted in hospital for the last month. Initially,
his family had denied about illness or hospitalized but later admitted that he
is undergoing for minor treatment of cardiac issues. However, after
deteriorating the health Condition of Umar Sharif, he sent a video message to
PM Imran Khan for seeking assistance for treatment abroad.
