Legend Singer of Sindh Humaira Channa who has ever served music since childhood till now

Humaira Channa was born on 22 Jun 1970 to famous filmmaker and poet Ghulam Muhammad Channa at Hyderabad. Her mother Lucky Naz was also famous singer of that time who sang many solo and duet songs on Radio Pakistan Hyderabad. She had later shifted to Lahore with her parents as her father got engaged making Urdu films at Lahore.

Humaira Channa was inspired from her parents and started singing in childhood. She used to sing in different event of her school during schooling life. She sang her first song in her father’s film at the age of nine years. Humaira Channga made her entry in Television from Karachi Television after singing the kafis of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai during a Sindhi Program namely “Sindh Seengar” produced by Mumtaz Mirza.

She got singing teachings from great musicians of Pakistan Nisar Ahmed Bazmi and Niaz Ahmed. Humaira Channa has sung in many films of Pakistan Showbiz Industry.

Humaira Channa has sung many kafis and songs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, Sachal Sarmast, Tajal Bewas, Ustad Bukhari, Sheikh Ayaz, Anwar Qambrani and many other poets of Sindh as well as Pakistan. She has also sung from Coke Studio during 2017 and sang kafis and poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.

Humaira Channa was initially introduced as substitute of Humaira Channa after her marriage and giving up showbiz industry. She was very favourite singers for the producers to perform playback singing during 90s era. Her sound matches with many actresses of Pakistan but she says that her sound matches with actress Reema. She has sung duet songs with Mahnaz, Naheed Akhtar, Muhammad Juman, Muhammad Yousaf, Ustad Manzoor Hussain Sakhiraniand many other singers of Pakistan.

Her playback singing for films became very famous since films industry remained boosted during 1990s. Her favourite singers are Noor Jahan, Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Mehnaz, Muhammad Juman, Muhammad Yousaf. She has also sung the ghazals and songs of Late Mehdi Hassan to Tribute him during PTV Program Bazm-e-Mehdi Hassan and sang his ghazals and songs in 100 episodes. The singer has also OST songs for dramas of Pakistan Showbiz Industry. She has sung over 1000 songs till 2016. Humaira Channa has sung in Sindhi, Urdu, Punjabi, Balochi, Pashto and other languages of Pakistan

Humaira Channa has visited America, Canada, Bangladesh United Arab Emirates and European Countries. She has also done many programs in India and achieved commendation from Indian people.

Humaira Channa has received six Nigar Awards and best playback female singer. She has also received President’s Pride of Performance during 2017.

During an interview, Humaira Channa revealed that she has one son and one daughter.
